HSFB100 Rankings

untitled (9)
The HSFB100 is compiled by national high school football analyst Dallas Jackson and is based on input given from in-person evaluations and tape breakdown by local high school sports writers, regional recruiting analysts, and coaches as well as other media partnerships. Read more about the poll philosophy here.

Rankings based on results of games played as of Saturday, November 9.
The HSFB100 will have expanded notes on teams this coming Monday with its updated rankings. Message boards are in development and should be available next week. Until then use the comments section below to share your thoughts.

1Booker T. WashingtonMiamiFL10-0
Booker T. Washington is narrowly clinging to the top spot of the HSFB100 rankings. Even with an undefeated season, it is not a lock to hold onto the top spot. There are major similarities to DeSoto (Texas) with this team and if Allen (Texas) is able to convincingly handle DeSoto, it could project well for a national title switch late in the season.
2AllenAllenTX10-0
With an undefeated season, it is very likely that Allen will wind up with the best strength of schedule in the country. The way the playoff brackets lined up, there is a chance the Eagles see a nationally-relevant opponent every round after this weekend.
3DeSotoDeSotorTX10-0
Like Allen, there is a very real chance for DeSoto to claim a national championship. The Eagles compare similarly to Miami Booker T. Washington and will be padding its strength of schedule during its playoff run. An undefeated season may result in a national title.
4St. John BoscoBellflowerCA10-0
Currently the top team in California, the Braves have the easiest path to the PAC-5 final and a trip to the CIF Open Regional Game. There is a chance that this team ends with multiple Top 10 contests in the final weeks of the season and could push closer to the top of the rankings and contend for a national title.
5St. Joseph RegionalMontvaleNJ8-0
St. Joseph is a complete football team that has answered the bell at every challenge. The level of respect for New Jersey football has been elevated in recent years — due in large part to Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco — but this program has earned its stripes as well.
6CentralMiamiFL8-1
The highest ranked program with one loss is just outside of the top five nationally, although it is evident that it could play with any team coast-to-coast. Its lone loss to Booker T. Washington was a tight battle that wasn’t decided until the final minute.
7Mountain PointePhoenixAZ11-0
It is an exceptionally strong year for football in Arizona and that puts Mountain Pointe into the Top 10. It has multiple quality wins and has incredibly talented players on the roster.
8NorthwesternRock HilllSC11-0
Northwestern already has a Top 5 finish on its resume within the last decade and has the system in place to continue to roll. South Carolina is a quality state for high school football and this team looks to be the cream of the crop.
9HooverHooverAL11-0
This is a program that could play with any across the country and is underrated when it comes to talent. Marlon Humphrey gets the headlines as a five-star player, but he is far from the only member of the team who will be playing major college football.
10De La SalleConcordCA10-0
All of the winning this program does may actually be hurting its perception nationally, as its competition level is easy to knock. This is a very talented Spartan program and it can show that its system is still sharp as it may have to go through Folsom in the regional bowl before a Top 10 program in the Open Division Bowl.

  1. Dallas,
Way to go!!! Get this thing up and going and we will all be over on the forum very quickly. Boy did YAHOO make a mistake! Much success to you. Glad you’re back.

  2. Good to see ya back DJ!

  3. DJ, nice to see you back at it. I know you were probably rushed, but you need a proof-reader brother!

  4. Glad to have the rankings back…

  5. Welcome back in the mix DJ

  6. Thanks, Texas Ten! I have a meeting today to see what the forums are going to look and feel like. Hopefully will have them soon. The site will be mobile friendly and WAY more up to date.

  7. Thanks, man. Stay tuned. More things coming!!

  8. Ha. I have one on retainer… I did this last night at like 1030… editor was at church and then probably bed.

  9. Me too. Will be better when the forums are up and running and we can really get it on. Will be getting some content up this morning and afternoon to get people ready for playoffs.

  10. Thanks JMB33. Thoughts on the first one?

  11. DJ,

Glad you are back in business!

  12. Good to see you up and running.

  13. Sam Parfitt (LT4spart06)

Welcome back DJ! Glad to see your perseverance is paying off!

  14. Me, too. A lot more coming so keep poking around!

  15. Have had a lot of support to get this off the ground and will have more coming. My contacts haven’t changed so the product you used to get on the other site will be better as I am not splitting my time with college and recruiting. This will be a high school football only site!

  16. Good to see you getting back into the game, Dallas.

  17. Will be dominating the game. Thanks for the support and stick around… more is coming today!

  18. Glad to see your username over here! Once the message board is up and running hope to see it more!

  19. Welcome back to the game DJ!!!

  20. BTW, unless you can see into the future, Colerain is 11-0 (not 12-0)…

  21. Thanks. It is a good feeling to see some familiar names posting comments. Keep reading as more stuff will be coming this weekend.

  22. Pickerington Central… WIN. Crystal Balls say this is a safe 12-0!

  23. Welcome back, Dallas.

  24. Welcome back, Dallas!

  25. Congrats, DJ. The best is yet to come! Test is hosting Prep 82, BC12 and I in his corp suite at MetLife on dec 6 for the nj np g4 finals. Hope you can join us.

  26. Welcome back! All is right with the world.

  27. Good to see you back in action Dallas. Hope you get this site going as well, if not better than the rivals site. Here’s to a great WPIAL and playoff season all throughout the country. Glad to see your work/rankings once again.

  28. good to see you back.site looks good cant wait for the forums to be up

  29. Great to see you up and running. Traffic seems to be way down at the old place. Glad to see the rankings up. Everyone has been going through withdrawls without your rankings.

  30. Great to have the best high school football rankings expert back in the saddle!

  31. STANDING O Dallas…Standing O

  32. I suppose Norcal needs a representative. Its good to see you back DJ.

  33. How do you feel about West Orange High School out of Winter Garden. There only loss is to Apopka and they have an average margin of victory of 35 points this year.

  34. Looking forward to the new site. Hope you get better “feet on the street” in Ca.

  35. Nice new digs Dallas! Looks good. I know you will be successful here because you interact with the HSFB fans waaaaay more than any other site. Rivals can suck eggs.

  36. DJ, looks like some Cali teams had some good leaps up in poll, especially LBP. What’s the cause of this? Looks like LBP is on a roll like last year, their D is playing out right now.

  37. Congrats on the new site DJ! Looking forward to seeing what you do with this place. I’m probably in the minority of Texans but I think Katy is ranked too high. Personally, I like SLC’s chances against them.

  38. Nolan Srader (nsrad267)

Outstanding Dallas this will fill up quick

  39. So nice to see an actual legit top 100 ranking list and not a UGC ranking. Missed ya Dallas

  40. Nice to see your back in action Dallas (181pl)!

  41. Thanks! Good to see you coming over. Welcome aboard.

  42. You beat me to it WCAL. Welcome back DJ. Norcal is glad we can continue to change your opinion on us ;) Looking forward to the forum being up and mobile friendly!!

  43. Reply to yourself and in the name block put 181pl, it will remember you as that.

  44. Ha. Thanks. I think the break (hopefully) showed some how difficult this all really is! Thanks for getting back over here.

  45. Glad to see you back in the game. Old coach once told me can;t play football on you but, Get up and get back in the game.

  46. Last one to leave Rivals be sure to turn the light off!!!

  47. I would add your gravatar right now so people can get used to see you!

  48. Thanks! Get your gravtar set up so people start to see you on here and recognize that. All these purple, green, red stuff is crazy

  49. And then get you a gravatar. All these colored blocks are hard to know who is who.

  50. I am sure it will be fun to keep the battle going! I will be watching Sac Joaquin playoffs for sure.

  51. How do you add a “gravtar” to the site?

  52. everyone is gonna foolow

  53. That is good news. Get ready for the boards!!! Should be next week.

  54. Bosco is always #1

  55. This year DBP isn’t even the No. 1 Bosco! Sitting well behind St. John Bosco.

  56. DJ is back!!!

  57. Sam Parfitt (LT4spart06)

    Alright figured out the Gravatar…

  58. BOSCO IS AWESOME! Now I feel like I’m home…..

Aren’t you glad your back, DJ?

  59. How do we register with the site Im kinda slow with computers. Lol

  60. Great to have the rankings back – and the board!

  61. OHHHH… look at you. So fancy.

  62. It took a while but I finnally found this place.Good luck with the site it looks good.

  63. How long until you have a formal registration and message board?

  64. Any guesstimation as to when the Forums will be up? So I can completely leave TOS.

  65. Dallas- Great to see you back in business. This should be some good fun.

I’ve got some info for you, but the only contact I have is your old rivals email.

  66. Mid week next week is the hope. First mocks were not good. Could have been Sunday but the programmer swung and missed.

  67. Hopefully on Thursday. Was supposed to be Sunday for the new rankings but the first mock of message boards were not encouraging.

  68. It will look much better very soon. Be ready!

  69. How often will your rankings come out?

  70. Weekly. Will come out Monday mornings.

    Will have a preview Sundays.

  71. Ah rankings and coffee makes Monday mornings not so bad.

  72. Hahaha… yep. Answering 192745892 complaints makes my life worth living, too.

  73. Waiting for that message board. Can’t wait to talk it up again guys! BTW Lou Trinity is in the quarterfinals at Male. Male just beat St X.

  74. Sam Parfitt (LT4spart06)

Ha, if no one is complaining, than there is something majorly wrong

  75. Need the Texas playoffs outlook.

  76. Will have it this week. First round provides for mostly chalk wins and then the games get good. Will have a preview this week, for sure.

  77. Absolutely. Also a major problem when too many media polls look the same.

If everyone is thinking the same thing then no one is thinking.

  78. Earliest is Monday. Latest is Thursday. Quite the range, I know, but they are coming.

  79. Thanks. I like the back and forth. It is fun. Get ready to move here fulltime!

  80. Hey I got my new avatar. We are definitely on our way here. Way to go Dallas.

  81. Looks good. Boards could be tomorrow… may be as late as Thursday. The content will keep coming though. TOS is dead.

  82. Nolan Srader (nsrad267)

    Yes it is.

  83. Guess I’m stupid, can’t seem to figure it out. Where do you put the 181pl exactly?

  84. Dallas,
Do you look for the message board to be up and running for this weekend’s games?

  85. Yes. I hope for them to be up today or tomorrow. talked to my programmer last night and she is feeling good about it.

  86. Quite few quality match ups this week in Texas. What is your take on the games this weekend DJ?

  87. I will write about it!

Did Ohio on Tuesday and will try to hit some of the bigger states/games coming up.

  88. Dallas,
On your home page there is a “register/log in” at the top of the page. If we’re already on here do we need to deal with that? I couldn’t get it to work.

  89. What issues are you having?

I think you need to register to use the board.

  90. When I try to register or log in, a widows security box pops up and says:

“The sever natioalhsfootball.com at Word Press administrator CAPTCHA.
Enter username:kfw7zr Password: The result of math 20+6 requires a
    username and password.”

“WARNING: This sever is requesting that your user name and password be
sent in an unsecure manner(basic authentication without a secure
    connection),”

Then there is a space for my username and a space for my password. When I fill them in and click OK a white page comes up that says “Authentication required” and it just stays on that page. That’s it.

  91. That is the web hosting protection for bots and spyware.

You do not put your username in there you use the “kfw7zr” and then 26 for the password.

There are a lot of scripts running and signing in there first keeps you protected.

From there it will bring you to a second sign in page. It is a pain but apparently they find value in it.

I am going to call on Monday and find out what is up with that and try to have the process streamlined.

    -DJ
