Four of the seven teams that earned entrance to the HSFB100 national rankings this week are not strangers to the poll.
No. 80 Archer (Lawrenceville, GA) leads the pack which also includes Mountain Pointe (Phoenix, AZ), St. Joseph’s Prep (Philadelphia, AZ), and Saguaro (Scottsdale, AZ) at Nos. 95, 96, and 97, respectively.
New programs like Westlake (Atlanta, GA), West Orange (Winter Garden, FL), and Canius (Buffalo, NY) fill out the back end of the poll.
Both Archer and St. Joseph Prep began the season with a lot of hype that went unfulfilled as the pair combined to go 1-6 in the opening month of the season. The duo has rebounded to win the last 14 games between them and claim their respective leagues.
Mountain Pointe and Saguaro were jumped in the poll — each falling out with a victory and not a loss — and have come back into the rankings through attrition of other teams.
The three new teams have combined for a 32-1 record with Westlake having the lone loss almost two moths ago.
Westlake appears poised to make a run into the Final Four of Georgia Class 6A riding the back of its defense.
West Orange has continued to climb the Florida rankings despite a so-so schedule to this point. IT will be taking on Apopka for the second time this year and will be favored to move to the next round.
Canisius has been the top team from a non-power state for much of the season and worked from the fringe into the HSFB100. It is the favorite to win the state title and with a talented senior class can stand tall with any team.

RK (L) | TEAM CITY (ST) | RECORD | LAST WEEK
1 (1) | Bishop Gorman Las Vegas (NV) | 12-0 | def. Centennial, 52-7
Bishop Gorman dominated again although these last six weeks have given no evaluation points. The Gaels are going to wrap up a state title and then watch to see if they get jumped as teams add strength of schedule points. It’s most critical win over St. John Bosco is still alive in California and that helps..
2 (2) | De La Salle Concord (CA) | 10-0 | Idle
De La Salle had a bye this week as the playoffs got started in California. The Spartans could potentially play three teams it has already beaten this year prior to getting another week of rest prior to the Open Division Bowl game.
3 (3) | Colquitt County Moultrie (GA) | 11-0 | def. Rockdale County, 62-12
The Packers opened its playoff path with a blowout win against Rockdale County. The result was as expected as the team had the top seed in the Georgia playoffs against a No. 4 team from an inferior region.
4 (4) | Allen (Texas) | 11-0 | def. Keller Central, 59-21
As has become the norm for Allen the offense was just too much for any opponent without an elite defense or a sustainable running game. Keller Central could have kept pace early but a special teams touchdown was wiped off the board and it was downhill from there. It will take a special performance to knock off Allen this season even as its defense is still rounding into shape.
5 (5) | St. John Bosco Bellflower (CA) | 10-1 | def. Cabrillo, 50-0
This was the first week in over a month that St. JOhn Bosco could expect an easy victory and it made quick work of the No. 3 team from the Moore League. The Braves have another relatively easy contest next week before the Pac-5 depth catches back up to it.
6 (6) | Manvel (Texas) | 11-0 | def. West Brook, 45-22
Manvel did not have an emotional letdown after winning the district last week against Pearland. The Mavericks have been the top team in Texas 6A-Division II for nearly two months and it will soon be tested with showdown games the last three weeks of the year if it is to win a title.
7 (7) | Rummel Metarie (LA) | 11-0 | Idle
Louisiana is ruining its reputation with the change in playoff paths last season and while Rummel could wind up with one of the better strengths of schedules it actually could have been better. The Raiders have a strong defensive line and it could ride its defense to a state title in most states.
8 (8) | Booker T. Washington Miami (FL) | 11-0 | def. Somerset Academy, 70-0
Booker T. Washington rolled through Somerset Academy in a laugher. The Tornadoes get a name game against Glades Central next week but that program isn’t what it was a few years back. Booker T. Washington will hope for Cocoa and Bolles in the final two weeks to build its strength of schedule.
9 (9) | Folsom (California) | 11-0 | def. Stagg, 70-14
Folsom was up 42-0 after the first quarter and yet quarterback Jake Browning was left in to throw a total of nine touchdowns. The Bulldogs are in the same category as De La Salle as it has looked great against teams that do not provide an actual challenge.
10 (10) | Dallas Skyline (Texas) | 11-0 | def. Lake Highlands, 41-14
Skyline remains a team that is tough to get a read on. Its best win came against Cedar Hill and that has been marginalized in a major way the last few weeks and its district was simply not very good. It is stunning but the Raiders could make the state semifinals without playing a relevant team in the playoffs.
11 (11) | Bingham South Jordan (UT) | 12-1 | def. Riverton, 35-3
Bingham got to the state finals with another impressive showing. The Miners lost starting quarterback Kyle Gearig for the state finals against American Fork. The team appears to be talented enough to win still but it is a risky contest for its state title hopes.
12 (12) | Mainland Daytona Beach (FL) | 11-0 | def. South Lake, 42-7
Mainland stays inside the Top 15 with a opening week win over South Lake. There are enough tests in this bracket to prove ti belongs in the fiansl rankings if it keeps winning out..
13 (13) | Miami Central (Florida) | 10-1 | def. Boynton Beach, 49-6
Miami Central is just on the tail of Mainland as the two opened the playoffs. The Rockets kept pace in the perception battle with a blowout win over Boynton Beach. The two will meet in the playoffs if each keeps winning.
14 (15) | JSerra San Juan Capistrano (CA) | 10-1 | def. Santiago, 55-16
The Lions took advantage of earning a high seed in the Pac-5 playoffs by beating the No. 2 team in the Moore League with ease. The competition level goes up goes up dramatically next week against HSFB100 Bishop Amat.
15 (16) | Chandler (Arizona) | 11-1 | def. Basha, 55-0
Chandler continued to flex its muscle on both sides of the ball as it routed Basha. The Wolves have a chance to redeem the only loss of the season this coming week against Mountain Pointe. Winning an Arizona state title will keep the team inside the Top 25 nationally.
16 (17) | Bellevue (Washington) | 11-0 | def. Sumner, 38-0
The Wolverines blanked another playoff foe on its way to a state title. It can still gain two quality wins before the season ends and but with Serra losing in California it could be hard to keep this ranking as the other power states finsh out.
17 (18) | Starkville (Mississippi) | 11-0 | def. Tupelo, 30-0
Starkville got back to playing better defense and knocked out the 6A runners-up from last season in a blowout. If seeding holds the Final Four in Mississippi will be all HSFB100-ranked for the first time in the history of the poll.
18 (19) | Clay-Chalkville Pinson (AL) | 12-0 | def. Muscle Shoals, 35-14
While this was not the most talented opponent left on the slate for Clay-Chalkville it may have been the most difficult victory to achieve as the offense that Muscle Shoals runs is unique. The Cougars figure to win the state title as no one else should match up athletically.
19 (21) | St. Peter’s Prep Jersey City (NJ) | 9-1 | def. Seton Hall Prep, 46-7
St. Peter’s was the benficiary of the fall of Southlake Carroll and Euless Trinity as it moves into the Top 20. Quarterback Brandon Wimbush keeps this team as the No. 1 in New Jersey and he may be oneof the Top 5 players at his position in the nation.
20 (23) | Hoover (Alabama) | 10-2 | def. Tuscaloosa County, 42-7
Hoover advanced in the playoffs with an easy — and meaningless — victory over Tuscaloosa County. The offense is playing better behind Jack Hutcheson and the team may regain its placement as the top team in Alabama very soon. It may have the best two losses of any team in the country falling to Top 5 Colquitt and Top 15 Miami Central.
21 (28) | Mater Dei Santa Ana (CA) | 9-2 | def. Westlake, 28-7
STOCK UP: At one point there was a thought that Mater Dei was going to be the team to knock off St. John Bosco. The Monarchs move back to the bottom of the Top 25 with its stiffling defense leading the way. This week it won a rematch game against quality Westlake team with an extraordinary quarterback to advance in the playoffs. The reward is a rematch with one of the hottest offensive groups in the country, Corona Centennial.
22 (24) | Paramus Catholic (New Jersey) | 8-1 | Idle
The Paladins had a week off as the top seed in the New Jersey non-Public Group IV playoffs. It will get Don Bosco this coming Saturday in one of the most anticpated showdowns in the country.
23 (25) | Katy (Texas) | 10-1 | def. Westside, 73-7
Katy opened the game with two offensive scores and two defensive scores to jump to a 28-0 lead in the firt quarter. The Tigers rode its defense and rushing attack to an easy victory. Everyone in the Greater Houston Area is looking forward to a showdown with Manvel in a few weeks.
24 (26) | St. Thomas Aquinas Ft. Lauderdale (FL) | 10-1 | def. Mater Academy, 57-0
The Top 25 looked off without St. Thomas Aquinas last week as the team is clearly one of the best in the nation. The schedule is going to limit its upside and the Raiders have noone to blame but themselves wth the uninspiring loss to Don Bosco earlier in the season.
25 (29) | St. Edward Lakewood (OH) | 9-2 | def. Brunswick, 37-3
St. Edward had moved to No. 1 in the nation several weeks ago but injuries knocked its offense off track. The team is back to looking like the top team in Ohio and one of the best in the nation.
26 (27) | Flanagan Pembroke Pines (FL) | 10-0 | def. Coral Springs, 49-28
27 (34) | DeSoto (Texas) | 10-1 | def. Coppell, 61-35
28 (35) | South Panola Batesville (MS) | 12-0 | def. Northwest Rankin, 32-0
29 (30) | Centennial Corona (CA) | 9-2 | def. No. 76 Serra, 68-64
30 (14) | Southlake Carroll (Texas) | 11-0 | def. Mansfield, 38-31
STOCK DOWN: For the fifth time this season the Dragons escape with a win in a game it was outplayed for nearly the entirety of the contest. Getting an ugly win is better than a well-played loss but in a rankings environment it will slide the team down.
31 (22) | Union Tulsa (OK) | 10-1 | def. Edmond Memorial, 59-28
32 (20) | Euless Trinity (Texas) | 10-1 | def. South Grand Prairie, 32-29
STOCK DOWN: If it were not for a stellar defense this Euless Trinity team would be in the mid-60s without question. The offense of the Trojans is more one-dimensional than normal and it was lucky to escape against a 5-6 team with five losses worse than what it did this week. The Trojans were coming off of a bye and looked like it was still resting in the first half.
33 (32) | Destrehan (Louisiana) | 11-0 | def. Pineville, 54-0
34 (31) | Buford (Georgia) | 11-0 | def. Heritage, 63-0
35 (36) | Byrd Shreveport (LA) | 11-0 | def. Fountainbleau, 35-6
36 (37) | St. Xavier Cincinnati (OH) | 10-2 | def. Colerain, 29-21
37 (56) | Crespi Encino (CA) | 9-1 | def. Santa Margarita, 45-13
STOCK UP: One of the hottest teams in the country is doing it without a real passing attack but three legit rushers that can not be contained. This week it threw just six passes in blowing out Santa Margarita much worse than many other, higher-ranked teams did.
38 (39) | La Salle Cincinnati (OH) | 11-1 | def. Harrison, 56-24
39 (33) | Cedar Hill (Texas) | 9-2 | def. Heritage, 50-26
40 (42) | Ware County Waycross (GA) | 11-0 | def. Starr’s Mill, 45-10
41 (43) | Martin Arlington (TX) | 9-2 | def. Midland, 43-14
42 (38) | Long Beach Poly (California) | 10-1 | def. Servite, 34-33
43 (44) | Blackman Murfreesboro (TN) | 11-1 | def. Riverdale, 48-21
44 (45) | Maryville (Tennessee) | 12-0 | def. Sevier County, 62-28
45 (46) | Dutch Fork Irmo (SC) | 10-2 | def. Mauldin, 49-0
46 (47) | Byrnes Duncan (SC) | 11-1 | def. Boiling Springs, 42-28
47 (48) | Oakland Murfreesboro (TN) | 11-1 | def. LaVergne, 23-7
48 (49) | Hudson (Ohio) | 12-0 | def. St. Ignatius, 28-23
49 (61) | Midway Waco (TX) | 11-0 | def. Tyler Lee, 76-47
50 (50 | Mentor (Ohio) | 11-1 | def. GlenOak, 38-14
51 (40) | Grant Sacramento (CA) | 11-0 | def. Patterson, 42-23
STOCK DOWN: A week after getting a Stock Up treatment the Pacers slide back with a Stock Down performance. There was concern that the team was going to be upset into the middle of the third quarter before it got the game under control and rolled to a win.
52 (41) | IMG Academy Bradenton (FL)) | 10-1
Season complete. The team got better as the season progressed as its worst two games were its first two — losing to St. John’s and then competing with Prestonwood Christian. It went on to beat St. Peter’s Prep and Trinity Christian.
53 (51) | Bergen Catholic Oradell (NJ) | 8-2 | def. Paul VI, 49-20
54 (55) | Wayne Huber Heights (OH) | 11-1 | def. Dublin Coffman, 44-35
55 (54) | Mansfield Timberview Arlington (TX) | 10-1 | def. Seagoville, 56-6
56 (57) | Brandon (Mississippi) | 11-1 | def. Hattiesburg, 41-34
57 (73) | Grayson Loganville (GA) | 10-1 | def. Mill Creek, 24-6
58 (74) | Bothell (Washington) | 11-0 | def. Eastlake, 45-14
59 (68) | Guyer Denton (TX) | 10-1 | def. Plano, 59-28
60 (53) | Don Bosco Ramsey (NJ) | 7-2 | def. St. Augustine, 42-21
STOCK DOWN: The Ironmen did not fall as far as maybe they deserved to as the overall resume is still too good to ignore. Since opening the season with impressive wins over Philadelphia St. Joseph’s and St. Thomas Aquinas the offense has been going backwards and the defense does not look as crisp. Hopefully the team is playing coy for its showdown with Paramus Catholic this week because it could finish out of the HSFB100 if it loses this game.
61 (59) | Ensworth Nashville (TN) | 9-2 | def. Briarcrest Christian, 42-6
62 (60) | Oak Grove (Mississippi) | 10-1 | def. Hancock, 42-28
63 (62) | St. Joseph Regional Montvale (NJ) | 7-2 | def. Camden Catholic, 45-32
64 (64) | Armwood Seffner (FL) | 11-0 | def. Largo, 38-0
65 (65) | Manatee Bradenton (FL) | 10-1 | def. Fort Pierce Central, 28-20
66 (67) | Providence Catholic New Lenox (IL) | 11-1 | def. Wheaton-Warrenville South, 23-6
67 (75) | Ponchatoula (Louisiana) | 12-0 | def. South LaFourche, 76-22
68 (52) | Carmel (Indiana) | 13-0 | def. Penn, 14-13
STOCK DOWN: There is certainly an argument to be made that Carmel did not derserve to win its semifinal game with Penn. The team survived a missed field goal and a missed extra point to come away with the victory.
69 (66) | Lake Travis Austin (TX) | 10-1 | def. Rouse, 54-7
70 (69) | American Heritage Delray Beach (FL) | 9-1 | def. Chaminade-Madonna, 58-21
71 (79) | Webb City (Missouri) | 13-0 | def. Harrisonville, 35-0
72 (80) | Ben Davis Indianapolis (IN) | 11-2 | def. Center Grove, 49-45
73 (81) | Steele Cibolo (TX) | 10-1 | def. MacArthur, 70-21
74 (76) | American Heritage Plantation (FL) | 8-3 | def. Immokalee, 51-0
75 (82) | Good Counsel Olney (MD) | 10-1 | def. Bishop McNamara
76 (63) | Serra Gardena (CA) | 8-3 | lost to No. 30 Corona Centennial, 68-64
Season complete. Lost in Pac-5 first round. Serra ends the season with good wins over Crespi and Alemany but losses against Amat, Bellevue, and Corona Centennial.
77 (83) | Warren Central Indianapolis (IN) | 9-3
Season complete. Lost in Class 5A quarterfinals. The Warriors finished with wins against Center Grove, Indy Cathedral, and Pike while splitting with Ben Davis. It lost to Carmel, Cincy St. X, and Ben Davis in the playoffs.
78 (84) | Moeller Cincinnati (OH) | 9-3 | def. Pickerington Central, 21-13
79 (85) | Pearland (Texas) | 10-1 | def. Deer Park, 41-12
80 (NR) | Archer Lawrenceville (GA) | 8-3 | def. Norcorss, 38-22
STOCK UP: After starting as the No. 2 team in Georgia 6A and then opening 0-3 the team is finally on track. It has downed Dacula and Norcross and may work into the Final Four of one of the better states nationally.
81 (91) | Stevenson Lincolnshire (IL) | 12-0 | def. New Trier, 38-10
82 (94) | Ocean Lakes Virginia Beach (VA) | 11-0 | def. Bethel, 42-0

88 (96) | Brennan San Antonio (TX) | 11-0 | def. King, 29-0
89 (90) | Hamilton Chandler (AZ) | 11-1 | def. Skyline, 21-14
90 (93) | Punahou Honolulu (HI) | 8-0 | def. Kahuku, 13-10
91 (95) | First Coast Jacksonville (FL) | 10-0 | def. DeLand, 34-19
92 (100) | Bishop Amat La Puente (CA) | 8-3 | def. Lakewood, 47-18
93 (89) | Lakeland (Florida) | 11-0 | def. Lake Nona, 48-38
94 (98) | Glenbard West Glen Ellyn (IL) | 12-0 | def. Barrington, 28-21
